2008-2012
Fabric fragment, altered clock, battery, sound of the clock and found painting (created by the artist in 2008, oil on canvas)

The fabric fragment on the minute hand turns over time and the painting changes its composition by itself. A clock with a missing hand in art typically symbolizes a man's powerlessness over his own fate. Clocks and watches are Surrealists' favorite subject. The sound of this painting represents the time passed between 2008 and 2012. The view, the Citibank Tower in Long Island City, evokes the Subprime morgage crisis that triggered the renewed history of the financial industry, or the Occupy Wall Street movement, depending on the viewer.
